Research Methodology
How Auxo Capital Advisors identifies firms, evaluates public information, supports factual claims, describes disclosure gaps and maintains independent directory profiles.
Profiles distinguish supported public facts from items that still require direct diligence.
Auxo’s firm directory is designed to help business owners and transaction professionals understand what a firm’s public materials establish—and what they do not. Profiles are based on publicly available information, with factual support tied to identifiable sources and unsupported assumptions excluded from the reader-facing analysis.
How profiles are researched
We distinguish similarly named firms, legacy brands, affiliates and related entities before preparing a profile.
Official firm websites, service pages, portfolio or transaction pages, public regulatory materials and other authoritative sources are prioritized where available.
Material factual statements are limited to what the reviewed sources support. Analytical commentary explains why those facts may matter to an owner without presenting unsupported conclusions as fact.
When public materials do not establish fees, engagement terms, regulatory structure, investment criteria, transaction ranges or similar details, the profile identifies those items as questions to confirm directly.
Profiles are checked for identity consistency, evidence support, source provenance, reader-facing clarity and disclosure language.
Sources and citations
Auxo favors primary and authoritative sources. A profile’s source list is intended to show where material public information was reviewed, while inline source references may be used for quantitative or otherwise important claims.
Source availability varies by firm. A missing public disclosure does not necessarily mean the information does not exist; it means the reviewed public record did not establish it clearly enough for Auxo to state it as fact.
What the profiles are—and are not
Directory profiles are independent informational research. Inclusion is not a ranking, endorsement, recommendation, referral arrangement or representation that one firm is more suitable than another.
Firm names, service descriptions, investment criteria, transaction examples, geographic coverage and other public information may change over time. Business owners should confirm material facts directly with the firm before signing an engagement, accepting an investment or entering a transaction.
Updates and corrections
Profiles carry a visible research date so readers can distinguish the reviewed public record from later developments. Auxo may update a profile when material public information changes or when a supported correction is brought to our attention.
